    Mr. Gene,

Sorry for your loss and your family will be in our prayers.
It's very hard to lose a parent, my mother was 54 when she passed and still think of her daily.

Well now it's over, today we buried Mom. It was a glorious send off and now we rest. Hopefully as the days, weeks, months, and years pass, the pain of her passing will also past but I know the memories will never go away. Thank all of you for the support you gave me, I wish I could shake the hand of each and every one of you and look you in the eye and say a heartfelt thanks. I think you know what I mean and so be it. Blessings to all of you.

Default So sorry my friend. . .

    Gene:
You were so kind when my Mom passed a couple years ago. Please allow me to return that kindness at this time. Anything at all, even the slightest, and I'll be heading your way. God's peace is the only peace. Melissa and I are here if you need us for anything.

I just saw this Gene. So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. My dad is 98 so I know I'll be there soon. It's hard to see them get to where they cannot do the things we used to enjoy with them. Even tougher when they are gone. Prayers sent your way!

I have been off line for way to long. When I saw this my heart sank. I lost my mom a little over a year ago, and we are still dealing with some of the things that event caused. Just remember this, God is still good. This is part of the natural order of things. Parents should pass before their children. If she was as good as I suspect, you will never forget her, but would SHE want you to spend a lot of time grieving over her? It took a long time for her to live, a long time to raise you, along time to watch you start a life of your own, and a short time to die. Spend your time remembering her in the same proportion. I also suspect that she helped many people in her life, which is part of the reason you are eager to help so many of us with yours.
And for that we wish we could do more to help you through this, and remember fishing is good therapy.

I thank you my friends for the kind words and apologize for taking so long to reply. It's been a hard few weeks. This week we went on vacation to the Bahamas and this morning I'm in South Carolina visiting friends and relatives. If all goes well I'll be home Sunday and back into the new, old routine which I hope includes a few fishing trips. Once again a million thanks and blessings to all of you.
