Green is like a roller coaster right now! First 4' below winter pool then 4' or so above, the USACE wants it at winter pool till he 15th of this month.
And with all the rain I would say good call, but the way they pulling its more like a river....can you say chocolate milk. 5' above summer pool as of this
    morning.

I have to admit, I lost a $3 bet that the trees coming into bloom last week were dogwoods. I should have known better as I have a dogwood in my driveway I walk past every morning on the way to my truck. It is just opening now. The trees/bushes were exactly what you mentioned Tom, a serviceberry (long slender leaves and clusters of white blossoms with long stamens). I've probably made that mistake for years.

Yep, I too have flowering dogwoods and serviceberry at My place and know the Serviceberry blooms first. Hey a little fun fact about how the Serviceberry tree (Amelanchier) got its common name: it like the Dogwood is considered a 4 season tree, meaning there is something of interest in all four seasons. So back in the day the old mountain preachers that would travel the hills spreading the word of the lord, used the tree to guide there way through the mountains, so it was a service to the preachers! also if You can collect the berrys before the birds get them, they can be used in pies and to make jelly.

Dog woods and red buds are in full bloom, turkeys are after it and the lakes are a mess!

I live in Henderson County, redbuds are definitely blooming here. I've also noticed some dogwoods blooming during my work traveling.
