Ragnar, I not trying to rain on your efforts here but I think that this is not a good idea. I have things to tell contestants before tournaments, and I do not want anyone who is interested in my tournaments thinking that this is part of the tourny. I know that there is nothing more irritating to me than someone hassling me about coming to worship with them or going to worship with them if I want to go worship I will do so on my own time I do not need to wear it on my sleeve for everyone else to see, it is my personal decision and no one else's and if your at the tournament I am going to assume you are there to fish. Ragnar, I am not sending this by PM, not to call you out, but so everyone knows my stance on this. If you want worship and prayer it is a free country and you may do it when you feel the need and whoever would like to join you may do so I would never disqualify anyone for doing so but the tournament starts when I'm ready to launch not when service is over. If you miss an announcement because you couldn't here me over the singing, than I'm sorry. Please don't take this as I don't want you at our tournaments that is not the case we enjoyed you being there last year and would enjoy you coming again this year.
Hope to see you there,
Greg
How much are entry fee's and what are the rules and so on. never done a fishing tourny would love to try it out.
Entry Fee's are $100 per regular season tournament that includes big crappie prize and it is not an option everyone that enters also enters for big crappie. 2 persons per team. If you want to be a member the fee is $25 per memeber or $50 per team. You do not have to be member to fish tournaments. Fishing hours are from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Each team weighs a maximum of 7, 10" crappie

Chief..
Sorry you dont feel this is a good idea. I totally agree that this is not part of YOUR tournament. however it does allow those who wish to participate in worshiping GOD the opprotunity to do both. fish your tournament and worship God also.
As far as more "I know that there is nothing more irritating to me than someone hassling me about coming to worship with them" ask anybody here that i have fished with, (chatt, shane, KAG, LBM, terribassboat, DKV, ksbuckey, lltec, capt DAN, tim, and a few others, (sorry cant remember everybody right now) and the many at the picnic last spring. just how many people I "Hasseled" then. Even all those at the perry tournament last year. Hasseling people to worship GOD is not what worshiping God is all about. I know many organizations have turned it into that but that is truely not the point of Gods word.
I have organized conventions for over 5000 people for years, multible basketball, baseball, tabletennis tournaments. So as you relate to when its time to start its time to start. I totally agree. Plus know how late a lot of fisherman (and christians) are when its time to start the importance of not having anything else interfering with that. So look at it as a advantage of having a group of people there early and ready to go before its even time. Ill you need to do is let me know what time you want people to show up to fish, and its real easy to make sure we are completed before then.
Not sure what or who has offened you with thier religion before but by no means was this inquiry meant to offened anyone, it was just seeing if thier was others who would like the opprotunity to get to be able to do both. Fish and still be able to worship. most churches are not open before 6am for services. You might be suprised and the number of people who would like to fish these but cant see missing worship to do so.
I truely appreciate all the effort and work it takes on your part to keep these going, i enjoyed last years and looking forward with much anticipation for this years as well as i hope to make most of them. And i tell you what i wont disquilify anybody who doesnt attend them either.

Just curious, how many places payout? Or how many places per number of boats?
fishlessDan I think it is 1 in 5
Life is good today.
Heck if we gonna talk about religion we might as well talk about politics too.....bahahahaha
