Hey DCS, Great looking ties. I wish my first ones looked that good. Those vein heads look great especially the brown with pheasant hackle. Also welcome to CDC from Kentucky. You have begun a life long journey with some great tiers on here. Some of the best I have ever seen are at your finger tips. Ask us some questions and I am sure you will get some good answers. Keep them coming. We want to watch you grow and learn and be part of our family here! Thanks for sharing your art!!

Nice first ties, you should be able to catch a few with those.

Very nice jigs for your first time! Like the red thread. Makes it look like gills of a minnow or shad.

Nice job for a beginner, have seen worse! When tying with chenille try to keep it as even as you can. Just takes time and practice to get better.

they look darn good! any ways i always tie my chenille in by pulling the tip off exposing the string under it. this makes a flat symmetrical body better then trying to tie the chenille under it also know as to much build up. also learn this while steel heading to half hitch from start to finish the chenille. this is cause "blue gill" will peck, peck and peck at the jig till they fall apart. if one half hitch comes lose they still have others holding it just some tips....

Where do you normally start to wrap chenille? To hook or to head?
