Yes SFCCANNON is right and one thing to keep in mind is this. Some guys get into this because they think they can tie jigs them selves cheaper then buying what they want, but except in rare occasions no way tying your own jigs will cost you less as you most likely end up like many of us with so much more materials than you really need that the cost is much higher, but it's so rewarding that its well worth it especially in the long run. Not only can you tie what ever colors you want, but with complete freedom to tie them how ever you want to. Also this hobby can last you a very long time and it's a lot of fun and not much in fishing can give you a bigger thrill than catching fish on something you made.

    Enjoy!

Thanks Skip ...... I rarely find a way to actually save money on fishin so I'm prepared for it.
Biggest thing for me is leavin those dandy jigs hangin in brush and dock posts. I'm tying on litewire jigs hoping I'll be able to pull them out and keep fishing 'em.

I have tries the lightwire jig heads, but I like the Sickle hooks much more. I also didn't care for tying on the light wire, still have a bunch of them, but just decided that I didn't care for them much and that is just a personal preference. I found it hard not to bend them just when tying.

The hooks do tend to give some but I haven't bent any yet. I just use a finger to support the head when I'm putting a lot of pressure on. 'Course it takes me 1/2 hour just to tie 4 or 5. Still got a lot to learn!
