I think the water you normally would fish on has a lot to do with it. Around my neck of the woods there are several small lakes with very small ramps and electric only. Small boat is the only way to go. On the other hand I am also around some mighty big water as well, need a big boat. I guess what I am saying is that I have 3 boats. I got a little 2-man bass boat that is prolly around 8 1/2 ' that works great for ponds and some of the small lakes around me. Ive got a 12' Starcraft Deep V that I use for medium sized water along with my 5 hp outboard. And for the big stuff I fish off of a 24' pontoon !!!!!! Need a boat for every lake situation!!!!!!!!

wannbe - send it to me - I'll teach it how - of course, it may take a few years. I'll return it to you once I am convinced I have done my job.

Sorry you'll have to wait a while. I just got it about a month ago. I got a good buy on it from an estate sale. A little cleaning up and some wiring corrections and now it's ready to start learning. Sounds like you like it, I'll take that as a compliment and Thank you.
PS I was told it belonged to a Crappie addict so it might not need much teaching!!:D:D

Now all you need is something to fish lake Michigan, maybe a 40 footer or so.

I do love my tracker pro crappie, it could use a little more power but I got it for a great deal and it's paid for. I trully believe it is one of the most fishable boats for the money. A very good cross of an fully decked out bass boat and a stripped down jon, if that makes any sense to you all. I actually dread the day I will have to get a bigger boat because I have 5 boys and their starting to fight about who is going with daddy!!! I have set up my own rod holders, added another fish finder and battery, It is a bit tippy compared to my friends 20ft lund but he has 20 more grand in it than me. as far as in the wind I believe that unless you have a heavier fiberglass bass boat that sets low, you will be blown around just as in my light alum boat and in my friends high sided heavy deep v boat.
