    Default Cajun red

Cajun red seems to be tough, but agree with Catch Fillet-low light makes it hard to see to re-tie. Back in late 70's we fished with Stren (still my choice on most rods) under a black light at night - it lit that Stren up like a neon tube. Anybody still do that?

    Default Interesting!

I have used the Mr. Crappie line and loved it, I have never had a problem with it.

However, I did try that Trilene Sensation one time that was very expensive and everyone said it was so awesome, but I think I had a bad spool of that, because it was horrible. I have since tried it again and I agree I had a bad spool.

I also use PLine for bass fishing and it is EXCELLENT, but expensive too.

This is a debate that can go on forever......

But, I can tell you from past experience, I formed a very bad opinion of Sensation because I got a bad spool.....but, I have given it another chance and my opinion has changed again!

    For what it's worth!
I won't be at work........I'm feelin' crappie today!

I fish with Trilene XL on all my ultralight outfits, six pound. I've been casting ultralights since I was a little guy, so I don't have too many problems with birds nests, tangles, loops, etc. But if for whatever reason, the line is acting up, its good to always have a can of Reel Magic available. This stuff is great for eliminating memory. I don't use it very often, but its also good to have in case you have someone with you that is not used to casting and gets alot of birdsnests.

I used to work at BassPro and we had some Red Wolf line as promotion for $2.99 for a 3600 yd spool. I bought some 4,6,8,10 because it was that cheap then I got to talk to the Berkley rep and he told me this was a line that was gonna be marketed in a couple of yrs. Well guess what know it is on the market (Sensation). I asked him about storing the line and he said the best way is to put it a refrigarator that way it would be in a cool dark space. You can still find these promo spools from $3.00-$6.00. I went back and bought 5 more of each line wt.and they are still as good as the day I bought them.

Awww man flytyfish, that kills me. I loved the sensation stuff. Wish I had found a deal like that. Interesting how that works. I wonder if they have other off brands like that, which will be marketed in the near future?

    Default Line

I've been using the yellow WM 6lb and haven't had a problem other than it does break off hard when snagged. Have you tried some line spray? Berkley makes some that works well. I used stren Magn thin for years and its good as any but hard to see.
