    Harold,
the documentation on the "FISH" board by the state biologists is for Lake Crescent "ONLY" the day we fished it and for the fish we caught only that day. Any other information i do not have except for the results for that day.

And not all fish were killed and tested, probably only half. And the biologist told me most Florida has an average of 3 year lifespan.

Interesting, about 4 yrs ago, i spoke with FWC recorder style person and partner
who were doing shocking systems in the lake was at.............

They kinda said in so many words that the ave black crappie in Florida had a life
span of 5 yrs...............that it was high into their second year before they
started to produce eggs............. Having never personally checked one out, may
look into said due to some of the 2 pounds plus we took this year so far look to
be muchg older than 5 yrs, just by the size of their rib cages and the amount of
    cartlege around ribs....

I know average life span of crappie in Northern states, Minn, Wisc, and up into
Canada around Lake of Woods area they seem to live longer, but also grow slower
11 - 12 inch up their they saw could be 8 - 10 yrs old.

Will look into learning how to cut out cheeks to check age...........
