    Default Well, we landed.

Sitting right now in Lewes, Delaware. Bad thing is....if you will scroll down on the main site....you will notice there is not even a Delaware board here on this site. Guess that will tell you something. Good news is, I am about 1/4 mile from the water. Bad news is, this town was established in 1631 and the streets are still just about as narrow as they were back then, so we only have parking for one vehicle where we are living. Good news, Sheryl walks about 80 yards to the hospital across the street to work. Bad news, I will have to find (and pay for) storage for both my truck, boat/trailer if I decide to fly back to florida and get them. Good news, they got some really good one way deals on flights right now..........and the pros and cons go on and on. Still undecided if I will fly down. From all the fishing reports and with talking with local people, the real good fishing does not happen till march-may. Sort of missed the boat on that one unless I go 15-20 miles off shore. Those of you who have seen/been in my rig knows I am pushing my luck with my 6-9 mile limit I have set on myself.
So, since we have only been here a week, and have only talked to a limited number of people, will wait a while, keep asking questions and keep the ears open then make a decision in a week or so. Know that it is not as hot up here as it is down there, but these people think it is. Kinda funny that is too. When it hits 90, these people are pantin like dogs lookin for shade and I am just warming up enough to get moving.
Know I am just running off at the mouth, but have missed you guys and wanted to let all know we are still alive and the Penciltuckians did not do us in on our way through Gettysburg. Will keep checking in now and then to see if anyone has melted and if the fishin has got any better. Has the lake levels dropped very much?? Just wondering.

I appreciat the offer Bugman. I really regret that I did not have more time in MO while we were there a while back. The wife had things all planned and those plans were to see as many of her long lost buds as possible in as short of time as we had. Did a whole lot in a dang little bit of time for sure. Will be heading back one day and will take some "me time" then to get around. Hope to get another contract in that area soon.
Flying back down to Leesburg next thursday to get the boat and truck. Talk about a short/long trip. Will fly in the 19th just after lunch, get to the park about 1:30, get things loaded and hooked up, check on things and eat then crash for the night. Will get up early friday morning and head north and will be back here in Delaware satruday afore the sun goes down. When on a mission, no moss grows under these tires for sure.
Well, that about catches up on our goings on. Will give the fishing reports as I get them. Mean time, keep the lines tight and the grease right.

Trip back was uneventful, thanks for asking Shu. Did expect the heat when I got down there but dang sure was glad to leave it behind. Made it back here by 4 pm sat. afternoon, got the boat put to bed, truck unloaded and woke Sheryl up with coffee so she could get ready for work. Since then, weather has been either rainy or wind has been 15-25, seas 3-8 or something not condusive to this small a craft to going out. Just have to bide our time and it will come.
Have had time to get all the salt gear re-strung with new line, oiled up and ready. Tackle box gone through and re-stocked with items used in this part of the country and ready to act like we know what we are doing. Just as soon as the weather will let us, gonna try and fish like we know what we are doing as well.
That about catches everyone up with the news of the wanderers. Thanks for thinking about us, cuz we think about all you speck jerkers a lot as well.

We will get to that and soon I hope. We went yesterday for the first time up here in Delaware bay. Mostly was a boat ride exploring where things were. Went out in the atlantic a ways and got a suprise....that being it was over 100' in less than a half mile offshore, got into a pod of porpoise while in the bay (shut the engine down and Sheryl got some good shots) and ended up catching enough 14-17" croaker for a good dinner. Did get hot though. Temp was 95, water slick with no breeze. Hard to believe, but it does get that way up here too.
That was only the first time out and hope to get more time out after Earl goes by. Wonder what that will stir up???
Yall stay cool as you can, will be back to pick on ya the first week of november.
