Well guys I tried the new trolling motor out and was pretty pleased with the results!! The only complaint is on the foot control !!The price was hard to pass up on this new trolling motor. Let me know your guys input on this new rig !!!!
I'm having problems with mine. The steering cables keep coming off and the guy at bass pro say's when something goes wrong with them you just need to buy a new one??? All I want is to tighten the cables. Does anyone know how to do that?
Give it back to BPS for another one.

The Prowlers are made in China on MG patents. We have an outlet store over here that buys returns from BPS and they are always stocked up on them. If you have to have one, you can get them dirt cheap over here. Another thing to remember is that the 'better' ones of higher thrust have a computer board on them. I still haven't figured out who to contact for one of those. Apparently the MG boards will not cross over. So with that said, it's a disposable unit. Buyer beware.
