I'm having problems with mine. The steering cables keep coming off and the guy at bass pro say's when something goes wrong with them you just need to buy a new one??? All I want is to tighten the cables. Does anyone know how to do that?

Give it back to BPS for another one.

The Prowler TM's are made by Motor Guide for BPS

The Prowlers are made in China on MG patents. We have an outlet store over here that buys returns from BPS and they are always stocked up on them. If you have to have one, you can get them dirt cheap over here. Another thing to remember is that the 'better' ones of higher thrust have a computer board on them. I still haven't figured out who to contact for one of those. Apparently the MG boards will not cross over. So with that said, it's a disposable unit. Buyer beware.

    Thats what i was thinking

BPS's customer service is usually very good
I'm sure they would rather eat a junk unit than loose a customer... word of mouth can make or break a store even if its a bps
