Nope, the connection on the FF is slightly different on non-ethernet models.
Can I connect a HB 788ci (No HD) to 998si?

Great I was told if you use the interlink you lose 1/2 your way point capacity and it's slow.

How many waypoints do you have? I'm pretty sure interlink can hold quite a few
I have 700+ The max is 3000 so I would only have 1500 total

I wonder if with the new waypoint management system if you can hide the unused waypoints and only show the visible ones on the lake would help with interlink. I have my waypoints setup per lake right now but i've already sold my interlink and stuck with a single FF system.
Also, Interlink is slow compared to the ethernet connection... but you're only sharing stuff that doesn't require full speed like sonars.
I heard there is an adaptor to make the 788 fit the cable. I will look into that.

I have my 788 linked to my 898 via this cable::

When I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations I have a good day
There is no way to make an Ethernet connection to a non-HD 788ci unit as it does not have the connection for it nor the supporting electronic circuitry for it.
With the InterLink you are limited in sharing waypoints by the unit that has the lower waypoint storage number. The 788ci unit can only store 750 waypoints so that will be your limit in the number of waypoints that you can share. Now you can have more waypoints than that on your 998c Si unit but any above the 750 limit have to be set to not be shared.
