i herd that in a couple of years lowrance is going to add a new acc. were you can fly to the moon and back, but you will have to buy a new unit for only a few thousand dollars to make it work.trade ins excepted . not sure if satellite radio will work though.
Hey guys, it's coustomer service that is out the window when sales are up. And believe me they are selling. I have a unit with the donut problem and also have a unrepairable Lowrance and a Garmin and Zercom and... who cares. Just remember that this is a throw away industry. It is cheaper in the long run to replace than fix in MOST cases. Plus when my depth finder is broke, I'm not waiting any longer than the next unit to arrive. I am fortunate to be able to do that but I still can fish without the unit at all. Now about that donut....
I got one of all of them somewhere. Dunkin Donuts anyone???

Hey CanePole, the sorry thing of it is I had some complaint and a lot of likes about them all. Donuts and fishin', I'm ready.
in early 2012,hummingbird will counter lowrance broadband radar.they will be introducing a new line of units.they will have stealth technology .in theory in 10 years there wont be any lowrance radar users left.they will all have died of cancer from the radar bouncing off there heads.this stealth technology will keep the lowrance users away leaving only humminbird users to keep fishing alive.kevin vandam will be trying this technology late this year.good luck kevin.Rofl
kosmo, good come back, where has this thread gone? I am still thinking about crappie flavored donuts.
I sell both brands along with many others and sales are a pretty even split between Lowrance and Humminbird. As for the pros/cons of each, give me a call and we can discuss.
