Your post has the same coordinate in it twice, once in Degrees and Decimal Degrees and then again in Degrees, Minutes and Seconds. Most GPS units can take multiple formats but you have to tell it how you want it to handle them.
You can also convert it yourself. The point you list is -94 46' 57.057" 40 22' 26.984" Just using the Lat, there are 60 minutes in a degree and 60 seconds in a minute. 26.984 seconds is 26.984/60 minutes or .4497 minutes, so you have 40 degrees 22.4497 minutes. 22.4497 minutes is 22.4497/60 degrees or 0.3742 degrees, meaning your lat is 40.3742 degrees which is what is given in the first value.
There is another common format, which is very common, and that is Degrees, Minutes and Decimal Minutes.
