Thread: Lowrance vs. Humminbird

D@*%. This thread started so good and again has gotten out of control. I'm sorry for stirring up a s&$! storm. From playing with both units in the store, they are both great. I like the detail of the Lowrnace better ( in my opinion) and was just wanting to know if the bugs had been worked out of the HDS units. I should have come up with a better title. This will be my last post to this thread.

Sorry to see it go this way. There seems to be a few angry guys that keep this going. It just makes it tough on the rest of us trying to figure out which way to go. Sheeesh!
Like i said before, find the one you like and buy it.

Nobody will mention the HB units. I mentioned a few things about the Lowrance HDS system, and then it happens. Any guy that has, and likes HB units, starts the bashing on Customer service of Lowrance. You almost can't learn about HB units on here. Maybe it speaks to the HB units that when someone mentions HB Vs. Low they can only mention Low CS. I don't get it????

Well, I for one have a 898 and just bought a 788ci HD DI, I dont have a problem with Lowrance, I just chose the HB for myself. I could get more features with spending more money but I need to keep a little pocket money for bait and something to eat while fishing

hay shorebound1 . from what i here and i see i think that the lowrance is the overall best.some here would say that they are socalled experts,but i have had my 997 four 4 years now. i do no some. if you have questions please feel free to pm good luck.
