I don't believe Interstate markets a 31 deep cycle other than the Optima. Very few companies sell a 29 and 31 because they are virtually the same battery. Do you have the model number off the battery?

If it's the Optima 31, you'd get a lot more run time out of a group 29 conventional battery. Optimas are small.

I doubt I can catch them anymore , I got to go Sunday and fished three creeks in six hours and only caught one. I fish out of a ranger , hull weight is about 1600.I assumed they were 31s. They were the biggest deep cycle Interstate at the dealer I got them from.

They are most likely SRM27s. Very few dealers even carry the 29s. I would think you might get a little more than 5 hours. I run my batteries hard in a much heavier boat and get a good 6 to 8 hours until about the end of the first year then I get about 5 or 6 hours but that is with me using the boat at least 4 to 5 days a week and that is with the 80pd terrova.

Finally got the 101 Terrova on the boat and I have been very happy with it. Ran two trips the other day from daylight to dark with four people in the boat and it did great. Best thing I have done in a long time.

What is the gross weight... Ha Ha Ha. Jerry said that is some of your problem the extra weight in the boat !!!

Tommy, I'm running a Terrova Ipilot on a Champion 186 with a 175HP and pulling cranks at 1.7 mph with mine using 2 Group 31 flooded cell batteries - NAPA brand at about 80 lbs each and on my best day, I've gotten 4.5 hours. Our hulls are similarly weighted. In other words....ya ain't crazy. That's all you can expect with our setups. A little MS math tells me that with a 36V and 1 additional battery I should be able to get about 6 hours, all else being equal....probably a bit more since the 36V wouldn't have to turn 80% of it's power to make the same speed. If you rock solid have to have a full 8 hours, I'm affraid you're only option is going to be to lay in 2 additional batteries on your boat. I'm looking to do the same, but my only option for the install is the port rod locker, which I hate to lose.

These guys above that are saying 3 days without a charge or I get 8 hours, in my opinion, are running lighter boats or are talking about spider rigging, which I can do with aplumb as well. It's the high speeds that get me. Got a buddy on the MS board running a Tracker 175PF with a 75 that can go 8+ hours pulling cranks with his, but I'd have to guess that his boat is roughly 1/2 the weight and resitance as mine.
