AGAIN, he (and his group) are not making a personal honey hole like you and your stakebeds....he's trying to IMPROVE his ENTIRE lake, by increasing the fish holding capability....he has plenty of young muscle to put this kind of BIG cover in.
The BIG limbs, planks, posts, etc, are being done to last for many years....he is doing this project the right way and MAKING SURE everything stays safely submerged....why scrimp when he can do it right.
