Wasn't expecting so many replies. I definitely appreciate the tips. I think I'm going to start with the closest place and work my way out. Atkins I've heard love stories about so I'll definitely be checking that lake out in the near future. I fished the little maumell river yesterday I put in at pinnacle mountain the water was crystal clear I could see my anchor at the bottom in 6 to 7ft of water. Could only go a mile in either direction before running into little damns. It was very shallow caught one small bass that was it. I want to try that river again but closer to the arkansas river. I think I was just way to far up stream.

Ok cool well I do believe that's where I'm heading in the morning.. I hope to bring some slabs home. I've looked at the GPS and I can't find the Caney creek. I found caney creek Rd but according to the GPS the creek that is by that road is little creek and it appears the access is there at amity road for that. Am I missing something or is that caney creek just named wrong on my Google maps?

I will, I kind of lied about going fishing today. I forgot about all the rain coming in. I will be going Thursday for sure if the weather man is telling the truth.

Well just got everything set up I'm going to fish gold creek in the morning. Going to put in at daybreak.. however my next trip will be caney creek. I plan on taking minows but I have a jig pole set up as well. Any specific colors you guys have luck with out there as far as jigs go? I have some yellow marabou jigs I'm using with some yellow powerbait at the moment. By the way went fishing this afternoon off the jetties at Fourche damn and had zero luck. I didn't see much action from others either. Just in case someone was thinking of going out that way.
