Bream were biting good, high water last weekend made it hard to find the brush piles I wanted to fish, dang biting flies tore me up more then anything , did catch a few crappie around the docks, lots of trees floating everywhere.
Anyone heard about or has fished on Lake Ouachita lately? Thinking about going tomorrow.

I went to Tompkins Bend on Ouachita Friday. Water was a little high. Caught some of the biggest gills I have ever caught on this lake. Also several catfish and Kentuckys. Great day overall. I would post pics but I'm not that adapt to this site and posting pics yet.

I have recently started this pulling cranks thing, I'm not sure I'm doing it right , but I did try it on ouachita and didn't break anything so that's is a plus

I am about to start pulling cranks on Ouachita. Just gonna have to find a place out of the pleasure boater traffic.

Everybody I talk to that has been to Ouachita lately is saying the walleye are firing! I don't know a whole about them, but I do know they are one of the only things that rivals crappie when it comes to eating!
I have, but not much luck. I will try again soon. Kinda busy catching gills there now. As a matter of fact, I will be there tomorrow.

Good luck tomorrow, I plan on hitting Maumelle or Conway this weekend
