    Well where I come from, that there is a moccasin. Yes it is poisonous and yes it will bite the hell out of you! Water moccasin and cottonmouth are the same where I came from. The size does concern me somewhat though. If indeed that is a moccasin, he is a granddaddy! I killed one like that years ago in my attic in Louisiana. My neighbor said it was a water snake. I said it was a moccasin. He argued that it definitely was a water snake. "After all, look at that pool of water you're standing in!"

    If you look close enough at the second pic. you can see a round pupil. My vote is hog nose.

    Hard to say. Hognose are usually more spotted but you never know.

    The stripes look more like a southern banded water snake to me.

    Common,everywhere,everyday mildland water snake.

    I've always heard if the eyes are blue they're almost blind and mating,will bit and fight.
