    It’s just a screen shot of an excel table.

    I could provide a drop box link to a blank version of this for excel.

    Y’all bringing up the 610 Lunakia is making me curious. So my only frame of reference is the 6’7” Yamaga Blanks BC-TZ Nano. What’s the Lunakia like in comparison? Is one better than the other for bigger fish or protecting lighter lines? Sensitivity?

    I do not own an TZ-Nano. I did own 2 BC TZ rods.....the 65 and 67. The rods fish different. Both are tubular.....if I am going after crappie and bluegill I would prefer the Lunakia.....more fun. Both rods are very sensitive. The 610 Lunakia is somewhat softer than the TZ. Unless fishing for bluegill at Dale Hollow Lake I rarely fished the TZ for bluegill or crappie. I used the TZ at Dale Hollow for bluegill because I knew I was going to hook up with a bunch of 18-21 inch Smallies. But the Lunakia can handle the Smallies as well. The Lunakia will certainly give you more cushion using light line. Both outstanding rods but to me the fun factor and versatility go to the Lunakia. But keep in mind.....I have no clue how the TZ Nano blanks fish.

    Regards

    Thanks for all y'alls help. I ordered the 610 lunakia from finesse and the tict sram from digit. I'm excited. I will let you know what I think when I get them in. Speaking of rabbit holes. Mine started when Tackle warehouse had a sell and a JDM bait caster(it still maybe available Diawa and it's awesome). I can cast an 1/8 oz. jig with it and take my thumb off. So here I go with light and ultralight tackle. Alphahawk Do you ever find wonderland down this rabbit hole? Have you met Alice yet?LOL Regardless... I bet you have had ball. Jim

    Got off the fence...sort of. I have been chomping at the bit for a high end area trout rod. Unfortunately the couple of rods I have my eye on the sellers are only using EMS. So who knows when that will start up again. I had been thinking of buying some high end Ajing rods while I wait to get one of the area trout rods. For a couple of moths now I have also been thinking I really need a sub six foot rod. So I decided to get my sub six foot rod.....which I have zero in my lineup......and save the money I would have spent on a high end Ajing and whenever EMS gets going again get the exact area trout rod I want. I went with a rod series that I am very familiar with....a Major Craft Fine Tail Banshee FAB 5’ 9” XUL. This will be my 3rd Banshee. The only other XUL I own is the Palms Egeria 64. While I really enjoy that rod it is a bit dead in the sensitivity department. I fully expect to use the new rod and have a ton more fun when catching the smaller bluegill....6-7 inch fish. After reading a few posts on here about the shorter rods I just realized I really needed the shorter rod to get into the few tighter places that I do fish. Will give full report when I get it and use it.

    Regards

    Congrats on the new stick, the description sounds perfect for that size fish. The rod should be super lightweight at that length and with a solid tip and good guides, work the TM well on the Ester line. Put a Daiwa Exist 1000 series on it

    That SV Light is a heck of a reel, especially for extreme casting situations. TW originally discounted it at 50% off. They soon realized that price was just obscene, but their current offering is still an awesome deal and the best you could possible find on the web.

    TW = Tackle Warehouse

    This was clearly off topic here...

    Yes I have! I tell folks all the time one does not need JDM gear to catch fish....get a cane pole and some crickets and go at it. What I have found...and to a man I have talked with about JDM rods....is you get an advantage you did not have before. It has nothing to do with whether or not you catch more fish, or less fish than someone who uses non JDM gear. It is all about what it does for the person who uses it. I introduced my nephew to JDM several years back. He loves to fish for trout and smallmouth only....nothing else. His first rod was a BC TZ 67. After he took it out and caught around 100 trout he called just ranting and raving about the rod. He put it best when he said “I don’t get to fish much due to work...so when I go out I want all the advantage I can have”. Last year he booked a guide trip on the Little Red to learn....from the guide...how to fish the Zig Jig. You fish it by popping it up and let it fall...the trout always hit it on the fall on slack line. He smoked the guide...the guy teaching him by the way....5 fish to the guides one. Why? All because of the rod. The BC TZ is extremely sensitive and he felt way more hits than the guide who was using....well let’s just say a cheap rod with a lot of glass in it and was pretty much dead. I no longer can fish the 8-10 hours a day I could just a few years back. In the spring I can hang for about 5 hours....come summer only about 3.5 hours. I need JDM gear now more so than I did a few years back. I really want my short time on the water to be as productive as possible. I guess the only thing I use now that is not JDM is Trout Magnet bodies. The ester line which is uber sensitive.....the jig heads sharp as needles.....the reels that are as smooth as a babies behind...and last but not least the rods. It just makes for a whole lot of fun. I’ll continue on this journey until I stop fishing. There is just no turning back on this road. You try to explain to someone what it is like to fish a sub 2 ounce rod with a reel that weighs only 5.2 ounces but you can’t really explain it. I am very excited to get my hands on the 59 XUL area trout rod that is coming. I know it is very sensitive and am pretty sure it is going to have enough bend in it for me to have even more fun catching smaller bluegill and stocker trout. I spotted a guy on the Caney Fork river a few years back and I noticed he was using BFS gear.....his rod was a Major Craft BFS.....dead giveaway. I asked him “How long you been into BFS”? He was surprised I knew about his gear...until I told him about mine then he understood. I used BC reels years ago and had I not gotten into the JDM spinning gear might have gone down that road....but I can’t afford both types...and buy as much as I do. Life is good!

    Regards
