Sorry that happened to you buddy, I've greatly appreciated all the info you've ever given me,I would never disrespect anyone like that. Once again a few will ruin it for everyone! People wonder why a lot of fisherman keep tight lipped, thanks again !

MePreach ... other state forums have gone to the length of having a "private" (password protected) sub-forum added to their state forum, just for that express purpose. "Guests" (aka lurkers/public) cannot access that forum.

Thanks for all of your reports MePreach. I rarely fish up near Neely Henry but it sure is a beautiful place up there. I have to confess to being a lurker who rarely posts, but without a boat I rarely get to fish for slabs too often. It certainly is a dirty thing to do to try and follow you to a secret spot, that seriously crosses the line and I would understand setting up a sub forum that is password protected. But i can tell you that there are users on here like me who do more reading than posting with the intent of learning a thing or two from you more experienced fisherman like techniques and strategy but who aren't looking to steal spots. Thanks again for all the info you share

I fish from the bank for the most part and I don't mind sharing reports.I do notice a increase in traffic in cetin areas I do fish.Lots of lurkers though and not much posting.
When I had my boat I can't tell you how many times countless times some fisherman would become my best friend an move in on me. I have had fisherman drop anchor right on my marker buoys and tell me that I don't on the lake when I ask them to find their on spot.

Totally agree with you! I do my best to help folks and when I post I put everything except the exact spot I fished. Sometimes I even tell those coming on vacation exactly where to look for fish and i help people all the time on how to long line and people help me with other ways to catch crappie. If I see someone from on here who post on the lake I'll tell them where I've been catching fish. As a matter of fact I met RogerA on the lake the other day and told him exactly where I've been catching fish. I was out yesterday and saw a guy fishing and I was catching fish like crazy and he wasn't so I told him what to do and he thanked me before he left because he started catching fish.

As for the ones that just come on here to get information and never post they drive me crazy. There have been plenty of times of posted results and have boats around me i've never seen before the next day. Thats fine if they would just post what they are doing and catching good or bad. I've seen people on the lake with crappie.com stickers on their boats and look for there post the next day and nothing.

Personally I enjoy posted and talking to the regulars who post on here but have considered plenty of times stopping putting results of my fishing trips on here. I dont think a separate posting place would really help since it only takes a second to join. Now maybe if there was a place where only paying supporters could see that might be different. I would be willing to pay a small fee if I knew only those of us that are viewing had the interest of everyone at heart.

I know how you feel. People use to go around looking for my vehicle because they knew I caught a lot of fish and wherever they saw my ride they knew that is where the fish were. I use to trade up vehicles a lot and throw them off course for a while. I hate when 4 or 5 boats get so close to mine that I can no longer cast. What really gets me is I am suffering through my worst ever year of crappie fishing and have shared info with so many people in the past and some of those same people this year wont tell me where they caught their fish. I am not just asking straight up for their hole but offer to go with them and they ignore me. They sure never ignored me when I was loading them down with fish.
