Finding crappie schools @ brownlee
Hi everyone, new here. Name is Jason. From Everett WA. Been introduced to crappie fishing on east side of Washington couple years ago. Have caught a couple here n there bt nothing of size and of the numbers.
This past j4 weekend, my family and I camped on Oregon side of the brownlee reservoir. I've always been told about how great the crappie bite is here. I was using bobber n crappie tubes
But my time there I couldn't find any schools. I get that it is the spawn or post spawn period so it wouldn't be as hot as a month or so ago during pre spawn.
Due to its size and me just bank fishing, can anybody give me tips on finding these fish? Not looking for secret spots unless you are willing to give them. It's not like I'm there every day as I live in Everett Wa.
Gotta say though the small mouth bass are real active, hit more of them then I did crappie.
But yes anything helps!

To catch crappie from shore travel the Snake River Road that connects Richland and Huntington. Look for rocky points dropping off into deep water that you can hike down to. Cast jigs and count them down or use a slip bobber. They are also catching quite a few fish off the docks at Hewitt Park lately. Every time I boat through there someone is reeling in a crappie.
today's catch in 2.5 hours

Wow! Nice!
Yeah I ventured down some of those trails down the hills. Talk about steep!!! Haha
Some coves held some fish but is catch a fish every 10 minutes, so I just choose to find another spot.
i know I'm fishing right too, slip bobber and crappie tube. I work bobber stop starting at 10ft then 1 feet lower if I find nothing.
