Nice fish. Sounds like a fun day. Must be nice to fish during the week. Some fish on the James are in about 5' of water if you can find an area with shallow water runoff. My buddy caught 7 nice ones Saturday, big fish 15" and 2.2 lbs.
    tight lines,

    Brad:
I think you need to teach me to fish, espically on the James. Seems like you know where and what to do.

My buddy weighted his 7 big crappie from Saturday, 11lbs 6oz. Thats nice. Compares to the best of Buggs.

unless you a paper chaser and want to pay 4 bucks or whatever the state charges everytime you catch a 2 pounder I think they should be close to 3 before bothering with some scales. I just love to be on the water , even better than that is watching a youngins face when they continuously catch fish after fish

As soon as I get my first 2 pounder, then I can rest. And since I am quite a bit younger than you:p , enjoy the look on my face when I land my first one! I do plan to return her to the water after a photo session.
