Looks like a good day
Got to the ramp early, and had lines in the water around 0730. The water was 47* at the surface, very muddy, and low…probably 2-3 feet lower than low.
It took about an hour to find some fish in 8 FOW. If I moved off of 8’, I didn’t get bit. The fish were hanging on one side of an underwater hump. I used a combo-bait of hair-jigs, in pink and chartreuse, and small minnows.
I caught 18 crappie and 1 pickerel in about 3 hours. I kept 14 for the skillet, mostly around 11” - 12”.
Good luck, everyone!

Thanks, Bill.
Not ice, Floating Aquatic Vegetation (FAV)...that green stuff. Although the air was around 31* the water at the surface was around 47*. Normally I do not see that much pollen until April, but the water was unusually low. Maybe the low water conditions had something to do with it.
Thanks, Bill. Not ice, floating aquatic vegetation (FAV). The green type. Although the air was around 31* the water temp at the surface was still 47*. The water was super-low, I was wondering if the low water canditions had something to do with the FAV. Usually, I do not see that much until later in March or April.
