Default Family and Friends and few crappie.

Dad doesn't get out much. Good days are fewer and fewer. He was feeling good last week, and the weather was right, so we hooked up and picked up boy at the end of school.

Next door neighbor, Caleb, likes playing with my fishing stuff and climbing around the boat. He is a good helper and we are buddies. I forgot how much work it can be to have a little one in the boat, but I got to be there for his first fish. A good time.

Going to try shad, herring, white perch and catfish in Richmond on the James tomorrow.

Neat! You need to cherish those times, I miss my dad and some day that boy of yours is going to be out on his own. Taking that kid fishing will be with him for a long time too!

Good stuff there. How was Ancarrows after the two rains? The river looks like it is clearing up. Are the shad still fairly thick?

River looks good. I little murky buy not bad. Plenty of water to launch/retrieve even at low tide. Must have been 30 boat up at 95 today. Heard good things about shad. We stayed down near the rock and caught herring and white perch as fast as you want. One big American shad. One striper. Taking daughter and her friend tomorrow. Wife is goiing. I will the the unhooking man for 3 sabiki rigs.

Good grief it's surreal to see your son driving the boat looking like a full grown young man. I remember so many videos of him as a little kid about 6-7 years old. I know he's proud to be driving that boat in front of grandpa.

Both videos are awesome. The smile on the face of the little kid as the boat was going fast as well as the excitement of the first fish on the kids face were priceless.

Yea time has gone by quickly. I've been so busy yelling about school work, I missed him growing up!! I'm proud to say he can back a trailer and load the boat now. That sure helps.
