Thread: Three days fishing

We left Pa with a foot of snow on the ground for some warmer weather weather on Sunday. First stop was Beaver Dam creek reservoir.Well it was 32 deg. with 30 mph winds Sunday at 10:00 am. Flowers were blooming but had a skiff of snow on them. We decided to just go to the Chick and fish off the dock below Rockahock. Burr! Monday was a little better so back to Beaver creek res. Got some info and started fishing up a cove were the crappie were a week ago. Not a fish. After 3 or 4 hours we decided to try some other spots. Well it paid off with a 6.5 lb. largemouth bass. We had it weighed on there scale. Next day we fished Diaschund creek with my canoe and only one ring perch. We decided to try some of the other lakes from shure also. A small bass and so on. On our way back home we stopped on the Rappahanoc(spelling)at the fall line fore some shad. Caught a few so we were happy. Still had a good time but the fishing was off for us to say the least!

From everything I read and was told we were a week too late or perhaps a week too soon. We expected that. Thats fishing!
