    Default Virginia Crappie Fall Classic

Tournament was a success. We had a total of 18 boats which doubled our last turnout. Bite was tough but 4 boats managed to get their 11" 7 fish limit. Majority of boats caught right many but unfortunately they were all in the 9-11" range. All and all everyone had a great time and we are looking foward to the next one.

Glad it was a good time. Looks like fun.

I would like to ask you to consider dropping the length limit (unless your location requires it). If I was to fish your tournament, I would most likely have a youth with me. I would like for them to be able to weigh their fish, even it was small. A tough day is a tough day, and everyone can weigh the same number of fish. I'd hate to tell a kid that he caught fish but they weren't good enough to come to the scale.

It will also eliminate any hurt feelings (or worse) when you have to decide if someone's fish is 10 7/8" or 11" and several people take a turn at pinching the tail and opening the mouth.

Drop the limit and I'd fish another Chick or James tourney.

    Thanks,

Yeah Speckle75 really wish yall could have made it. Were you the guy I talked to last week from NC? I stopped by bobs this week first time I had never been in there. Planning on making it to a few of the tournaments this winter.

Ranger we are in talks about lowering the length limit. We will more than likely be lowering it to 10". It wouldn't change the outcome but it would allow the folks who didn't do as well to bring something to the table. As far as telling a kid a fish ain't good enough my opinion kids need to learn at a early age that there will always be winners and losers. I don't agree with every kid gets a trophy. I completely understand you want kids to enjoy themselves but when it comes to a tournament full of grown men out to win cash money and trophies maybe it isn't the place to bring children. Just carry them out on the lake and enjoy yourselves. Not trying to sound like a a hole by no means just giving you my opinion. On another note hope to see ya make it out to one of our tournaments they are a blast we would love to have you!
