    Default Saturday, Burnt Mills-28 crappie

Paid Burnt Mills a visit for the first time since February. Got on the lake and starting fishing around 7:20. My first spot produced 25 crappie with the biggest just under a pound. Most were caught casting the Money jig while counting down to 6. I switched up to a pearl BGBS as the sun got higher. The bite slowed so I left and tried numerous other spots for 3 hours with nothing to show for it but one yellow perch. I returned to my original spot and got 3 more casting a pearl BGBS which works well for me on sunny days at Burnt Mills. One of the 3 was my biggest of the day at 1lb 3oz. I also got a few vertical jigging a pearl/chartreuse wasshoppah tipped with a white crappie nibble.

The water was clear and I showed surface water temp at 85-87. Lake is at full pool. I headed home a little before 1:00. With the NE wind it was quite comfortable on the water.

Very nice, I still can't find the fish in the back by my house. Did you see the graffiti on the dam? I have tried to contact David Rosenthal about it.

Saw the graffiti but did not read what it said.

You did? I don't have any messages. Please send the details to [email protected] and I will pass it on the supervisor at Western Branch.
