Good report. We don't get many about Anna.
Smoked the crappie on Anna today. Guesstimate 70-80 fish caught. 8 made it to the cooler.......because those were the only fish that were 9 inches or better.......................... Small fish all day on any bridge, any piling. Pick a depth from 15-30 feet. Seemed like a juvenile crappie convention on the bridges. Is this typical for Anna? Everything caught on Southern Pro curly tails.....chartreuse shad was their favorite, but caught em on blue n silver and smoke gold. I've only made a few trips to Anna over the past couple years, so I don't know much about it. We graphed some coves the last hour looking for brush piles, but didn't find any. I was thinking maybe some bigger fish would be on brush piles. Anyone know if this is true this time of year?

Nice report, never fished Anna so I can't help you there.
Thanks for the report. I presume the cold public side? I know very little about Anna
Sounds like you had some fun even though they were not the big ones.
Yes drb, we fished both splits, N Anna and Pamunkey.
Anchor Man, it was a good time for sure. Catching fish is always fun, even if they're little guys.
I fish Anna some, and haven't had the best of luck there lately but have seen a few here and there that are nice. Normally under the bridges are best this time of year but idk
Thank you very much. Hopefully I'll be able to post new pics of em tomorrow
Only fish Anna a few times a year and mainly early spring. Since not much info coming back I will tell you what I know. Bridges and any cover works pre spawn, this is the end of March for me or early April. Never do well mid lake down. We have got into some nice fish but many 6 to 8 inchers and then a 12 to 15 incher. Perhaps go online to the guide services reports for the lake. They have helped us make decisions in the past. Not much help but being honest.
