Nice, thanks for the heads-up Jim. I like to catch those specks.
I went to lynnhaven river last sunday and fished for 3 hours. I caught two puppy drum and hooked three monster skates. I was going to n/w yesterday but headed back to give the speckle trout / puppy drum a try.. Got there at 7 am and was fishing by 7:30. I was trowing 4" bass assasin lures fishing points on the river. I only caught two keepers but I had a ball catching under size trout. I left early so I could watch the skins at 1:00. From years past the big trout should be right behind the little fellows.

Jim, I pmed you.. I'm looking at homes near/on Hampton river.. looking forward to fishing that area!
Was looking at condos on river, but then I would have to get rid of my crappie boat... Not going to happen..
Are you giving up on Deltaville?
Yeah, I started thinking about it last yr, and finally got a realtor( so I could visit and get into homes for a "looksee").
Hate to post downers,, but, Fishing SW has been falling off in our area for years. Rapp river is often visited by Omega protein netting every fish around. Flounder/specks/puppys seem to have disappeared!
Spot fishing right now is Awesome.. I am tired of catching them. ( 140-150 count coolers.. No BS) but that only lasts for short time period. I did well on rockfish last fall.No big fish but limited out every trip (generally in 1hr or so) Understand most had very bad fall rock season.
I have friends that fish SW around Hampton say its pretty good & hopefully I can get into some of those good crappie holes they have down that way!!
