    Default Claytor Lake for Fishbud

Sorry for the late post but have not had much to report. It has been very slow this summer with only a few caught. What is surprising is those caught were from 5' to 25' with no real pattern. I don't think I would have caught any if I didn't have my friend Brad guiding me around.

I did finally catch this 2 pounder but only had one more small one to go with it. Maybe things will improve as the weather gets cooler.

At least you got a nice one. I haven't seen a 15" crappie in nearly 6 months. While I averaged 43 crappie per trip last year, this year I am only averaging 18. I have only gone 7 times this summer and caught, 20-7-14-4-12-3-30. The 30 was this past Saturday with most caught 17'-20' deep.
