Isnt Whitehurst the one that butts up to the airport? If so I wouldnt want any parts of sneaking in there. Been closed for 3 years or so. It would be a BM all over again. but it aint worth sneaking in.

Whitehurst is still open, just not anywhere to launch unless you can find someone to allow you to launch from their property and you need written permission. As far as getting through from Little Creek there are two bridges and acouple of pipes to get under, hard to do at full pool. and the ramp at Little Creek is not in the best of shape, Kevin might have some imput on that. I used to fish Whitehurst every spring from when I was 10 till they closed it, miss it. Pic from the past.
I used to fish there, but have moved away. Why did they close it?
That's too bad. I caught my first 4lb Walleye in that lake. Lots of Bass and Bluegills too.
I don't think you can get under the railroad bridge, we used to carry a canoe over it. Kevin might konw better, try shooting him a PM.
It's been over 20 years but yes I would fish both sides. You can get under the bridges. The walleye should be getting big from all the stocking before they closed the airport ramp. That lake was a great place to catch walleye. This lake is where I cut my teeth on catching them. It took me two years on where to catch them. Back then I did not have a d/f in those days and it was tuff. I used to troll night crawlers or jig hopkins spoons. Whitehurst was a trophy walleye lake back then. If you go i'll tell you where I used to fish for them.
