I was out on NWR as well down Carolina way. Calm winds and nice temps. Fished for catfish with an old friend and slayed some big blues. Glad you had a good day with the crappie. Nice looking supper.

Great Post! nice shots, That hole has been good to me many times and then again it has been void of fish other times. That hole was there back in the late 1970's and had crappie back then. Glad to see that nice yellow perch that far up river. 2 more weeks till the mother load comes in. Glad yall had a good day.

thank you!!! i completely custom built the boat myself... it is a 1436 with a (de-badged) yamaha 15 ... kinda small but when i bought it i thought it was big! haha... funny how quickly boats get small?

the control panel holds all my switches for the livewell, running lights, anchor lights, and accessory switch.

if youve got a few minutes i have a full write-up with lots of pictures on another forum. here is the link...

Thanks for the report. My brother was down there today in a 12' skiff. Sounds like he had about the same results as you guys.
Was hoping to hear of a few more perch being caught. Oh well. i guess they are still making their way up north. Won't be long.
I'm gonna give it a try in NC tomorrow.

heard from a couple guys that they were only catching one or two yellow perch... hopefully that will change soon!

That's good work. They are right, the bridge concrete is either hit or miss. If you don't catch some quick change depths as sometimes they are surprisingly shallow. .
