I enjoy fishing the night shift. Good looking bix of fish
Went out last night at dusk and fished until 11:00 PM. Ended up with 4 rainbows and 14 crappie plus a couple big bullheads and a handful of bluegills. Not much of a picture but that’s what you get fishing at night!

Nice outing.
Good bunch of eating in that cooler! Thanks for posting and welcome to the NE board and the site in general.
Interested in how you are handling and preparing the bullhead. I've caught a couple of nice ones over the last couple of years (don't target them usually) but haven't really considered keeping them. I'm aware of some folks here in CT that claim the best time to keep them is early spring, while the water is cold and after that, they'll be kind of muddy tasting no matter where and when they're caught. Wondering if you have noticed the same or if it's a wife's tale. They won't keep them, they claim that once the flesh begins to color up from white'ish to red'ish you can tell the flavor difference.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.QuinnTheEskimo LIKED above post

I don’t really know, I catch a few every time out in this lake but I let them go. It’s a fairly deep, cold lake so I think they’d probably be pretty good. Most of the people I know that fish bullheads do it in the spring because that’s when they run and you can catch them in big numbers.
