Saw 5 boats in the bayou today catching fish. Just ran the boat and checked my brushpiles on the new GPS. Should be a beautiful day on Friday.

There are no crappie in Lake Houston. I wouldn't bother if you are looking for some. Go to LOP or Conroe or anyplace else. It has to be the absolute worst crappie lake in the state, if not the country. It is bad for bass too. If you like water skiing or tubing, it isn't good for that either. I would just stay away and not waste your time trying..... It is excellent for bowfin, gar or carp though.
I did try fishing for bass on Lake Casitas last Friday but didn't even get a bite. I had a guide too. It was my birthday and have never done anything good on my birthday. Don't know why. The best thing that happened was Crappie sending me an email wishing me a happy birthday. That was real nice of them.

Well Fm just a little protective of our/my home lake,I have heard sooo many folks talk noise about Lake Hou.Then I think of all the money I have wasted traveling to other "supposedly better" lakes all around TX.My backyard produces some nice fish,18" personal best.
