Wife and I are upper midwestern folks that love to fish but have never fished Texas. We are planning to fish Lake Fork in late March of '08. Can anyone out their give us some advise on how to fish this lake that time of year (mainly crappie and some bass). You know-- baits, depths, etc. Thanks in advance for any info.

I fish there 3-5 days a week when I'm in town. thats prime storm season so I might be gone, but shallow brush (13-16ft) and bridges fishing the same depth should produce that time of year. I use jigs that are 3/32 made on the lake, but a 16 oz will work too. Chart/blue, grey/blue, cin/blue, cin/chart, and grey and black could all be working then, depends on the water clarity...
If you fish at night fish under the smaller bridges at night with minnows off the bottom and lights and catch em moving through the bottleneck...
Bass will be getting beat to death by everyone from every reach of the earth that time of year. But if you must Red traps, craw color bandits, white spinners and chatterbaits, black/blue or watermelon jigs, jigs or any green pumpkin/watermelon red plastics should produce...
