Wish I could help but I haven't spent much time with LS....
I hate to put yet another post about Livescope but I am having an issue that I am hoping someone has had and figured out. My phone is connected to Livescope and I am using them together. I am trying to record what is going on. From the video's that I have seen, you much enter the helm mode and that will show you the video. When I try to enter that it tells me that I have to connect. So I checked my wifi and it is connected to the Garmin infact I know I was connected because I used the phone to update the software. But I cannot enter helm without the message that says I must connect. Maybe I am missing a button, but I do not see anything that says continue or anything. Any help here is appreciated as I want to record this.
By The Way, Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there.

What model sonar do you have? I have the 74SV and the function to view the screen is not available with mine from what I have read and seen. I think the larger units or the GPSMAP units have the capability built in to view what you see on the screen in active captain app. You have to have the "HELM" feature to be able to see and record the screen. I have to record to a card and then download using active captain to my pc.

Did you go to main menu and select Active Captain and follow the prompts?

OK, got it working yesterday. Did not record but I finally got it working. One thing that I am noticing is that pretty much everytime I turn it on I get a transducer not connected. I have to reach in, discunnect the transducer, reconnect it and it works fine. Once I reset that yesterday everything seemed to work. I need to play with it more but finally got it.

What Garmin unit are you using?
On the transducer not connected. This has worked for some, It did work for me. Put the box on its on power switch. Let unit boot completely up, then turn on the black box.
