Thread: rain drops keep falling on my head

but it didn't seem to matter to the crappie fish . man was it storming Wednesday and boy howdy did they bite well in it . went to visit Ez and drop a nice condo and take a look at his big boat to see why it wont start . lots of shorts in the mix but a bite is a bite . I brung my bud from work who is getting better at ketchn crappie and I been coaching him some and he told Ez it was his funnest trip ever and he was on them pretty darn good .
he brought his rod I set up for him that I ketched off the bottom of the lake and was using it like a pro no doubt .
fish held in around 8 fow to 16 and were thru out the water column in some spots and deep in others , the lake was rising like a rocket .
Ez needed a bag of fish to take to his housekeeper and someone keeps taking his fish so we said no worries friend we will reload that there basket .
saw us a nice rainbow after the storm passed and had a grand time as we were the only folks out there in that mess .
now mind you I had to stick and move some to get bites but in the end his trash bag looked good and we left with smiles and had a good time .
left shortly after dark after the storm passed and got to see a few pretty male crappie flying colors as well
and by the way ….a bobby garland tadpole colored plastic hurt them lips really well when I firs got there .

And it looks as we are going to have raindrops on our heads again today. I for one am getting tired of this weather. My poor pontoon is just crying because it doesn't get to go out and play.

Yeah brother, I love fishing from a pontoon. I got to do it from time to time when I was younger. Always enjoyable. You need to get her out there for sure.
