    Default Canyon report 2-22-15

    Fishing is still improving on
Canyon. Still struggling to have days with weather suitable for clients to fish but those that do go are catching. Most days we are catching largemouth bass, stripers, hybrids and crappie. Most crappie are nice size. Yesterday, about half were black and half were white; half male and half female full of eggs. A few keeper size stripers and black bass.

I have only found crappie in the trees one time this year. All otherName: Canyon1 2-21-15.jpg

Size: 111.3 KB days I have found them deep in the middle of the channel. Most all bass have come close to rock ledges and the stripers and hybrids are suspended and schooling in the channel near the breaks. It appears that there will not be a good run of white in the river again this year, mostly due to low water levels. The lake is 11 1/2 feet low so be careful traveling the river.
