Thread: Tellico 4-8-08

Got on the water at 7:30am. I noticed that the lake level is back up and it's close to normal pool. Spoke to a feller on the water who informed me that yesterday's level was about 12" higher and figured that they released some in the past 24 hrs. Water temp at back of creek was 65-66 and muddy. Visibility was 6-8 inches (max). Used chart sparkle, chart/red, white/black jigs (tipped with chart nibbles and sprayed with Fish Formula) with little success. Minners caught most fish using sliding bobber in brush (tight) in 3-5 ft at 12-18 inches deep. Put over 25 in the boat and brought 13 home around 2:00pm. Planned on mowing grass when I got home but I ended up cleaning fish and taking a power nap in preparation for tonight's Lady Vols game. Missed one good slab...she fell off when I was trying to swinger' in the boat...oh well, I guess that's why they call it fishin' and not catchin'. Tight Lines Yall!
