Good list YH. I see the weather beat you into staying home too. Wait, I think you said you fish during the week. At any rate it's depressing.

O.K. Tennesseans this thread may be somewhat trivial to most of you but I'm gonna list some tips that might help you have a better trip and keep you from getting a citation.
all vessels 16 ft or more must have on board a CG approved throw cushion
all vessels (no mater the lenght) with any type of cover over you fuel tank must have a fire ext.
your fire ext. must be in the green (full) check yours!!
of course every one on vessel must have a CG approved PFD readily accessible (not still in the plastic from the purchase)
everyone must wear your PFD while in dangerous waters (below dam) the inflatable PFD's are great for this.
Tenn. courts recognize the GOLDEN RULE for official measurement of fish.
Not law, but it is a great idea to get a counter to help you keep count of your catch. It is sometimes easy to keep to many when the fishing is good and your all caught up in having a good time.
You must be sitting below the gunnel while motoring above idle speed. (not up on a pedestal seat)
12 yrs old or younger must wear an approved PFD at all times unless ancored or beeched. (this is a big one)
Hope these few tips helped somebody, good luck to all...........
