My friend, Biofisher aka Gary Fomby, and I hit the crappie before daylight. We doubled with keepers on our first casts. It was game on until about 6:16 am when the fish decided that they had played with us enough. We were spot locked in 20 feet of water casting into 25-30 feet of water.
The morning bite and the best solunar movement came together this morning. Bobby Garland Lights Out Slab Slayers and Baby Shads did a number on the fish. We landed 12 and had 5 more jump the net and break the line or just pull off at the boat. We landed two more fish on bluffs and had one break 4 lb test Nanofil line. The threat of a thunderstorm and storms around us on the radar made us quit. We had the boat back on the trailer at 8:39.
