It doesn’t matter what the lake level is, there are some that are going to fish the shoreline regardless. Grin.

I know it goes without saying Chester Frost ramp is trouble during the winter draw down. Last weekend the ramp and I had a little disagreement. It let me know that if I don't pay very close attention, bad things will happen. So after a busted tire, a bent trailer and a spun prop, I finally got home very discouraged and beat up. Was very hard on myself for being so careless. But God works in mysterious ways. I had acquired an old boat trailer several years ago. Had been using it as a junk trailer for a long time and almost got rid of it a few years back. Well lets just say the old thing cleaned up well and after a long hard day of working on it I now haw a better trailer than before with only a small expense for some hardware. So just remember something may seem to be a disaster can actually be a blessing. Merry Christmas all

Ramps are hazardous here in the Buckeye as well during winter draw down. Glad you got home and had a solution. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well.

I will go in the morning and see if they left enough water for me to slip the boat off the trailer

I went and got off the trailer and back on again. At 23 degrees the ramp had a half inch of ice on it from the boats that had launched before me. A little unnerving when I slowly slid the last 3 feet into the launch. It was a very slow slide. I had not trouble getting the truck back up the ramp with the empty trailer. I will throw a couple of bags play sand just for a little peace of mind on those super cold ramps
