Reelfoot Lake Questions???
I have a fishing partner that is 83, that is wanting to make a trip to Reelfoot Lake. We have been talking about it for years, and I was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice on where to stay, good guides, and is it worth the 9 hour drive from South Carolina (I see mixed results from what I can read). If we go with it right now I am thinking the 2nd Week in April and fish 3 to 4 days. Don't have anything set in stone, so just looking for some local advice. Thanks in advance!

Jig fishing might or might not be good 2nd week of April. I normally do decent spider rigging between now and the spawn. Blue Bank for the nicest place to stay and they have guides. Boyette’s cabins are decent. Sandage Guide Service catches a lot of fish spider rigging. The lake can be pretty busy around that time of year; I would come during the week if possible. Like most places the weather can be a problem in April, we get a lot of wind.

I wouldn’t wait around on booking a room most places fill up fast in the spring.
