Dock fishing is still a lot of fun and you are right, I don't do that a lot, but it is still enjoyable. I wanted to learn to fish off shore and set out doing just that. More bass fishermen fish off shore, but they don't really compete for the fish that I am looking for. After the spawn and until the fish make their fall migration back to the shallows, I find much bigger fish on the main river channel drops, cuts, ledges, etc. that I fish. Some of these spots, I have never seen another angler fishing them.

I quit posting on CFF because I have to re-size my pics to get them posted. That is a major pain in my behind and I decided to just post elsewhere. Also, there was beginning to be a lot of bickering on that forum and that just about ruined it. People quit posting about how to catch fish and so on. You know what I mean. Thanks for the comments, Gene.
Yes I know what you mean. I remember when crappie fishing posts began drying up on CFF. I think I saw a strange timing of this right to about the time competition fishing started in the area. Seems to me the sport becomes all about take with no give and fellowship taking a back seat after this sets in.
