    Question Livewell Modifications....?

...I have a 24-gal. livewell on my pontoon boat...any ideas on how to install a mesh/screen divider so I can keep my bait and fish in the same livewell? Also...any ideas on how to install a (cheap) timer to the aerator? BPS timers are expensive!! Thanx for any info...

You could take some mesh screen, like goes in a screen door, build a frame for it out of furring strips. Measure the width of your livewell and build it to fit snug. You could also make a 'T' plate to go on the bottom of the screen to keep it upright.

The cheapest way to aerate is to get one of those battery operated minnow aerators.

I have a 24 gallon aerated Cabella's bait well and I use a "floating net" type rig to keep my bait separate from my fish. It's easy to rig out of Styrofoam and mine holds about 3 dozen minnows.
