I agree. Saw several floating 55 gal drums yesterday. Hit one at 40 mph and would blow up a fiberglass boat.
We have a tremendous amount of water coming out of the TN and Cum river valleys. Drift is gonna be BAD!!! If I didn't have to cross the lakes right now I wouldn't.
Along with the normal trees, I've had buddies reporting everything from 500 gal propane tanks to ATV's floating down the TN river.
We've been waiting above Cheatham Lock since Christmas day to get enough clearance to get under the Clarksville RR Bridge.
Take care.

Wiskers LIKED above post
Probably several motorhomes scooting along as well from all the pictures I've seen. Some people apparently didn't get word they need to their move campers to higher ground!

I moved stuff to higher ground today. Crappiestalker (Paul) helped me get the boat yesterday. I am blessed to have him as a friend. If he hadn't called, I probably would be in deep poop about my boat.
I still gotta secure the gangplank on the dock. I don't have a clue. I calculated the water level at which the gangplank falls off the floating deck. Gangplank is about 4 inches too short at 370'. Last high water episode, dock man took care of this. He has left the area (retired).
Add wind and the dock floating high, the poles sway and I am probably a foot short. Lucky me.

Hope all goes well for you Mr. Tom. I meet one of your students! Nathan Hacker does some IT work for us at the office. It was funny he was asking me about if I had been catching any fish and told him no because I been too busy. I'm not sure how I ended up talking about you and the stuff you build but he said I had a professor that was working on fishing electronics at school, I said Canepole's name is Mr. Tom. I pulled up a picture of you from facebook and said yeah that is him. Small world!!!! He talked very highly of you and how smart you are. I told yeah he is a very smart man, tell him it cant be done and Canepole will find a way that is can be done.
I remember Nathan. He is a fine young man. His father is a radio engineer. Nathan is a very bright young man himself.
