Default kentucky Lake - West Sandy- trip

I will be heading down to Kentucky Lake on my fall break. We will be staying at Pleasant View Resort on West Sandy. I have a 175 Alumacraft with a 150 Yamaha so I am pretty mobile. I am set up for pulling cranks or spider rigging. We are interested in fishing for anything that might be biting including catfish. We will be there Sunday through Thursday. Any help with might be biting and where to try would be appreciated. I am familiar with this area from spring crappie trips. Thanks in advance.

We have been catching a lot of fish in the Big Sandy and West Sandy, right now we have a lot of throw backs but still manage keep a good stringer of fish. We have been spider rigging with live minnows, staying right on top of drop offs and brush piles. Catfish are biting the live minnows too, fish between Sulpher Well Island (big island) and Britton Ford penninsula.
Hope you get into some good ones, post after your trip and let us know how you did.

Thanks for the info Tom! I was beginning to think the Tenn guys were not going to be very helpful. We plan on doing some spider rigging and some pulling of cranks. That gives us an area to look at. What depths have you been running your drops? We hope to catch some catfish too!

We were catching catfish behind (south side) of island. Crappie in West Sandy 9-11 ft, even the smallest change of depth will make a difference.
