Thread: Tims Ford Fishing

I got the oportunity to fish Tim's Ford this week and so I took it. I've been really wanting to see if I could do any good fishing there during the lake draw down as I've heard some say the fish will come up to the docks during this time and others say you can't catch them hardly at all during lake draw down. Being one who always likes to see for myself when I can, I just wanted to try my luck and see what would happen. Here was results. Some fish were caught on docks, some shooting docks etc, but not as many as I expected. Now, I admit yesterday was not a good dock shooting day at all as it was major windy and just about no place good enough sheltered from that much wind to dock shoot but there are a few places. Still the best results come from fishing brush piles or blowdowns and definately the jig/plastics were better than minnows. Only 1 keeper on a minnow. Hard to tell from the photo, but most of these were really good fish.
