River cannel ledges with brush or tree tops is what was good in the spring.

I was there in early October and we caught quite a few crappie out of East Port marina on the east side of the lake on the Obey River. A lot of our fish were suspended at the time and we fished in about 30 feet of water. We used minnows and jigs - mostly chartreuse. My girlfriend caught a hefty 14.5 inch TARP in the first 5 minutes of fishing. She also caught a small blacknose crappie.
